Implementation of Community Service of FISIP UMA in Sei Lapan

The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) UMA carried out community service in Sei Lepan District, Langkat Regency, North Sumatra, Thursday (12/11/2020).
The implementation of community service was centered in the hall of the sub-district office which was directly led by the Dean of FISIP UMA, Dr. Heri Kusmanto together with the Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs, Bebby Mashito Batubara, S.Sos MAP, and the heads of the Department of Communication, Government Science and the Head of Public Administration Science Study Program, as well as lecturers of FISIP UMA.
Also accompanying the Deputy Director of Postgraduate (PPs) UMA for Academic Affairs, Dr. Isnaini, SH M.Hum, and Deputy Director for Student Affairs, Dr. Adam MAP who is also a lecturer at FISIP UMA, as well as a senior lecturer, Dr. Syafruddin Ritonga.
The group of the FISIP UMA Community Service Team was greeted by the Head of Sei Lepan Sub-district, M. Iqbal Ramadhan SE, represented by the Secretary, Bayu Fitra Pratama Matondang, S.STP, and the section heads (Kasi), village heads, village heads, and sub-district staff.
Dr. Heri Kusmanto on that occasion said that the presence of FISIP UMA in community service in Sei Lepan Langkat was a manifestation of implementing the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, which has been carried out by FISIP UMA in Batu Tunggal Village, NA IX-X District, Labuhan Batu Utara Regency (Labura) last year.

“FISIP UMA remains committed to helping ladies, village heads / luran, and the people of Sei Lepan in various matters of assistance, including assistance in making Bumdes and governance. And today we come to dedication to hand over 10 sets of foot protective equipment for farmers created by Dr. Adam who is a lecturer at FISIP UMA, “explained Heri Kusmanto.
The assistance of 10 pairs of sets of leggings made of lightweight steel will be very useful for farmers from accidents when cutting grass/weeds in fields or gardens. “Dr. Adam made an innovation to help farmers by creating foot protectors,” said Dr. Heri Kusmanto.
Meanwhile, the Secretary of the Sei Lepan sub-district (Sekcam), Bayu Fitra Pratama Matondang, S.STP, expressed his gratitude to FISIP UMA for choosing Sei Lepan in community service while providing assistance for 10 sets of foot protectors.
“The implementation of UMA Community Service is very beneficial for us and the village representatives. And the assistance of 10 sets of foot protectors is also very helpful for farmers in carrying out activities in the field while occupying land, “said Bayu Fitra while appreciating the dedication carried out by FISIP UMA and hoping it can be sustainable in his area.
