MoU of Medan Area University and the Indonesian Architectural Association of North Sumatra Branch

The signing of the MoU for the University of Medan Area (UMA) and the IAI (Indonesian Architectural Association) on Friday, 23 August 2020 in the Meeting Room of the Rectors on campus I, the University of Medan Area Kolam street No. 1 Medan Estate.

The signing of the MoU with Indonesian Architectural Association was witnessed directly by the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Dr. Ir. Hj. Siti Mardiana, MSi, Vice-Rector for Cooperation, Dr. Ir. H. Zulheri Noer, MP, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Dr. Grace Yuswita Harahap, ST, MT, Deputy for Academic Affairs Susilawati, S.Kom, M.Kom, Deputy for Student Affairs Indra Hermawan, ST, MT, Head of Institutions and Units at the University of Medan Area. The guests who attended the signing of the MoU were the MBKM (Merdeka Learning Campus Merdeka) committee for the architecture study program.

The remarks were given by the Rector of the University of Medan Area Prof. Dr. Dadan Ramdan, M. Eng said I was very proud to be able to work with IAI where IAI is engaged in architecture throughout Indonesia and hopefully in the future this collaboration can be useful for architectural education and implement it according to the Program for the Implementation of the Independent Campus Learning Policy which includes Student Internships, Practices. Fieldwork, Student Research, and others.

In line with that, there was also a speech from the Chairman of IAI, Mr. Boy Brahmawanta Sembiring, conveying that he hoped that the collaboration with the Medan Area University could provide benefits, including efforts in learning in the world of Architecture today and implementing it by the Mendikbud Program, namely Merdeka Learning Campus Merdeka.

Furthermore, the signing of a memorandum of understanding of cooperation by the Rector of the University of Medan Area Prof. Dr. Dadan Ramdan. M.Eng., M.Sc together with the Chairperson of IAI North Sumatra Boy Brahmawanta Sembiring in the chancellor’s meeting room and then the chancellor gave a souvenir and a group photo.

Hopefully, the signing of the MoU for the University of Medan Area (UMA) and the IAI (Indonesian Architects Association) will make UMA even better.
