UMA Social and Political Sciences do Implementation of Community Service Student Creativity Program Activities in Medan Belawan Fisherman Village (10 August 2020-30 September 2020).

Title of the activity: EMPOWERMENT OF SCHOOL CHILDREN THROUGH LEARNING HOUSES IN MAKING SUSTAINABLE EDUCATION IN NELAYAN VILLAGE MEDAN BELAWAN, MEDAN CITY.

Description of activities The Directorate General of Learning and Student Affairs does various things to foster student innovation and creativity in Indonesia. Student affairs have made various changes, including the use of web-based information technology for the implementation of the Student Creativity Program and the addition of new categories.

UMA Social and Political Sciences do Efforts to foster student creativity and innovation are an integral part of shaping the character and thinking and acting skills of students. The Student Creativity Program is an implementation of the Tridharma of Higher Education.

The activity carried out by the PKM Team of the Medan Area University, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences was an activity to empower school dropouts in Kampung Nelayan Medan Belawan through the Learning House.

The topics that will be taught include:

1. Moral and moral education.
2. Basic sciences.
3. Computer skills.
4. Sports and arts extracurricular activities.
5. Integrity education.
6. Teaching entrepreneurial skills.

This learning house has a big impact, especially in Kampung Nelayan Medan Belawan, where drop-out children can experience a learning atmosphere like informal education in general.

The PKM supervisors are Beby Masitho Batubara, S.Sos, M.AP and the PKM Team is Yorizal Tri Marzuki Gulo, Muhammad Aldi, Mikael Irwan Susanto Sarumaha, Fauzhan Azhima and Juan Eber Hazer Telaumbanua.
