Impact of UMKM Deterioration in the COVID-19 Pandemic Period

The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIPOL) of the Medan Area University (UMA) held an online discussion event with the theme of the fate of MSME during the COVID-19 pandemic. On Saturday, June 19, 2020.
This activity is an effort to establish silahturrahmi between FISIPOL lecturers and students. besides this activity while sharing and sharing knowledge about SMEs.
as we know in the phenomenon that is happening right now, the co-19 pandemic has an impact on slowing national economic growth, especially businesses or MSMEs that have dropped dramatically.
In the circumstances that occur during this pandemic, the fate of MSMEs such as Darwin’s theory with its natural selection where MSMEs are affected by this pandemic experience deterioration, reduced income, and increased costs where production is not optimal or even does not work at all, this natural selection requires MSME actors those affected by the impact must have a large CAPITAL to survive so that their business does not go bankrupt.
In this discussion as the resource person, the Lecturer from the Faculty of ISIPOL UMA, Mr. Yarhamdhani, S. Sos, MSP (Doctoral Candidates for development studies).
